Poll: Preferred Sidedraft Carb Setups

All things being equal, what is the favorite sidedraft setup? I picked up my 13B and have a couple leads on carbs, but it's time to buy a carb and manifold and I've never worked with, ridden in, or even seen any of these. That said, what's your favorite and why?

I don't have any experience with carbed rotaries (just bikes). BUT Mikuni always makes me think "Dirbike/go-kart", Dellorto always makes me think "vacuum cleaners", Webber always makes me think "cool car".

I would generally like a weber the best (easier to find parts) but i'll take any of them if I get a good deal.

Is it true about Mikunis being better for blow through because of their larger bowls?

Where can I find a Weber manifold then for a 4-port? I've found a couple places to find one that mates to an SE lower, but what about 4-porters? Anyone have spares?

I just found out today that RB has a lower manifold that bolts to the older 4-ports. (I've got a couple of RX-7's that have older 4-ports - but they've got twin Webers sitting on top of them )

Do y'all know if the Weber, Mikuni and Dellorto all have the same bolt pattern on the manifold? They all look very similar and I'd like to go ahead and pick up a manifold, so are they interchangable?

Yes, dellorto, weber, and mikuni all have the same bolt pattern and will line up to the same manifold.

40's, 45's and 48's have same bolt pattern.

50's are bigger and won't bolt up to a smaller carb manifold.

Mikuni ! ! !
You can buy parts @

Thanks Drivefast!

Probably because the Dell'orto and Mikuni are basically Weber copies.
