Italian, Not British!

Well, the bumpers and a lot of other parts on this car came from an RX-2. Most people don't seem to know that the RX-2 was designed by Bertone. I actually used one RX-2 front bumper to make each side, which gives a similar appearance to the Ferrari Daytona front end. The details of the parts I used are given on page 3 here:

Removal of the windshield trim is not easy if you plan to reuse the plastic clips - takes a special tool to pry the trim out past the clips. Any glass shop that does windshields should have the clips.

Learn something new everyday, and you managed to keep the bumpers in the 'family'. I'm not up on the pre-7 rotarys as much as I would like to be. I do like the bumpers, they go well with the vert. No insult intended. The rubber bumper pads do look a lot like the ones on the old MGs when the US mandated and implemented the 5 mph bumper rules.
Hey stilettoman -
Did you remove the trim on the drip rails to polish them, or do them in place? I was told that they are almost impossible to get off and put back on. I took one off my SE parts car and can attest to the fact that they are difficult to remove, but have not tried to put one on yet.

64mgb - I have removed the drip rail trim years ago, cannot remember putting them back on. Yes they are difficult, almost impossible without bending them. Look at my photos and you will see I was building a cloth top, so I did not use the drip rails. Thought about using them for the grille, but ended up using the RX-2 drip rail trim for the grille, as they were smaller and had more the look I wanted.
Speaking of grilles, I just finished building the grille for my 3 wheeler, used stainless tubing, had it bent by the guys who build railings for yachts, then had my machinist drill the holes in his NC mill. I also built the bumper, and the whole assembly is installed as a unit. Photo attached.
