points to electronic dizzy swap questions

Hello all, I have searched this but I can't find my answer. I am converting my 79 points based dizzy to a later FB style. I have been working out the wiring, which is not too hard. My question comes from the original harness. What have people done with it. Basically, from the old harness I just need a power feed for my coils. The rest I will run new.
What have people done with the spaghetti nest of wires that is left over? The ignition harness does not simply unplug from the main harness. Did anyone simply bundle it up and out of the way? Did anyone cut the harness open and remove the old wiring?

Although I like a clean engine bay, I also like to be able to convert to original if wanted, although, I doubt I would put the points back in.

As always I appreciate the input!!!

Rich

I personally cleaned up and removed all the unneeded brackets, and put some very factory looking black wire loom.
