plz welcome RAUL

hello all. im brand spanking new to this forum. i have a 1980 rx-7 and it had been sitting in my driveway for 2 years, ive recently started to fix it up and finally get her running. surprisingly, all it took was to reconnect some looks electrical connections. the spark plugs that i found in the rx-7 were 4 "ngk vr 96". ive been replacing small things that went bad over time such as the tires (they went flat and cracked) and i also got new wipers.

can anyone suggest anything that i should replace that i already havent thought about before im driving down the highway and something messes up? my friend has already told me to get brand new belts because he thinks that the same thing that happened to the tires could happen to the belts, but any other suggestions/comments would be GREATLY appreciated.

if you would also like to suggest perfect size speakers or any other type of suggestions plz do so. i know not much about cars especially rotary engines and i am pretty eager to learn as much as i can.

thanks.

ah also. i forgot to ask this VERY important question: (without takin it to a dyan machine, dyno machine. i duno) i want to know what the approximate HP of the 1980 rx-7 is. all i could find is this

Output(hp): 100bhp @ 6000 rpm
and i know that bhp means "break horse power" so ya. i duno much, and i would like to find out my HP, so plz post what you think it could be, or what your 1980 rx-7's hp is so i can get a rough idea.

thanks again

Well the motor puts out around 100 hp so you're looking at anywhere from 15 to 20 percent less on a chassis dyno, IIRC.

PS: welcome to the board. I have a SA myself, they're becoming somewhat rare.

SA is a term used by us rx people. its part of the chassis code.

79-80 =SA
81-85 =FB
86-91 =FC
92-95 =FD
