I don't think that is it the control arm is on the right of the bolt it doesn't block it there is this pipe pictured here that is blocking it do i have to remove this it has some weird bolts with pins over the bolts. This is starting to drive me crazy how could this one simple bolt cause so much trouble why would they have designed it like this.

that is the tie rod end in the picture with the cotter pin going through the bolt he's talking about is on the bottom control arm

Well then it is the tie rod blocking the bolt not the control arm can i remove the tie rod to get to the bolt how does everybody else get to there bolt or is this only on the 79?

Erik is correct, the 17mm that connects vertically from under the LCA to bottom of strut housing. I believe youre over analyzing it Cody. Its very simple and not difficult/complicated lol

Hey i think i will hold off on this for a couple weeks my bushings for the control arm and other places anyway and new brake hoses so no point in doing it now until i get those parts i will start on the drums in the back for now thank you guys for all your help.
