Question plan to buy a 1st gen have a few questions thanks

hello,

Im planning on getting a 1st gen, but i know jack about them, i have looked stuff up about them on the net but have nto found much.

can some one list the specs of it, and the difference of the models? i.e. LSD, 4 wheel disc ect...

I would like to get one with LSD so i dont have to search for one. I live in riverside CA and I have seen verry few 1st gens at the pick-a-part's by me.

thanks

any thing will help

If you want LSD and 4 wheel disc, I believe your options are narrowed to the 12A powered GSL (100 HP @ 6000 RPM, 105 SAE net lb/ft torque @ 4000 RPM) or 13B powered GSL-SE (135 HP @ 6000 RPM, 133 SAE net lb/ft torque @ 2750 RPM)

The higher torque in lower RPMs is the biggest strength of the 13B, though there is a slight increase in fuel economy with the fuel injection (12As are carbureted)

SE gear ratios are also different, though I'm unsure if the 1984 and up GSLs came with this enhanced tranny.
