pimpin aint easy....

i just got some new rims off of tire rack.com, they r the 16 inch borbet type b, one of the only 2 rims they have for my 85 gsl se. so i got them and they seemed to fit great, until i drove on them and found out that the inside of the tire was rubbing on the strut tower, i got some wheel spacers to try and solve the problem, it seems to have ended the rubbing but today my tire hit my wheel well, so iwas wondering what u guys thought i should do, move down to a 15, or would rubbing still occur? return tires and rims and find some new ones, if so where did u get rims and tires that fit? tire rack offered me a full refund or to replace the damaged tires but said that they have no tires that will fit without rubbing....

anybody else here "rolled the fenders"? That is probably what I'm going to have to do, as I am also going to be putting 16's on my gsl-se... I know you other guys have 16's on your cars, what do you do to make them not rub (and I don't have the money for a wide body kit, so that's out of the question)

put better suspension on your car, i have 15's and there is no way they would rub, i know i could fit 16's on cuz mine are 215/50's and thats a lot of side wall left.
if you getter tighter suspension it probably would happen, i have tokico blues with eibach springs all around and my car is nice and tight.

Just take to a body shop and have them roll the fenders for you. That should take care of the problem.

i had to roll my fenders, running 215/50 on my 15"s.

under braking the fenders would come down onto the tire...

my car is lower than stock, but not much stiffer
