my pilot bearing went a little bit.. if your looking at the e shaft from the side the bearing is sticking out like a millimeter

i cant get good leverage to get a decent sized swing with the hammer and its not moving

i didnt think mine was gonna fit, but then i put it in the freezer for like 30 mins and i took it out and it went in pretty easily, i still needed some renforcing with the socket and hammer, but it went in pretty easy for the most part. freeze the bitch!

i noticed, where the pilot bearing goes in there is like a lip in there, it dosent seem like the bearing would go past it becase the bearing was hard to get in the main hole... let alone a smaller one deeper in there?.. is the bearing supposed to go past that lip????...

so the pilot bearing should be sticking out of the eccentric shaft by 1 mm, and the pilo tbearing seal would be completley out?

I once put a pilot bearing into a previously automatice engine. I put it in the freezer for a while untill it was frosty. Before I took it out of the freezer, I wiped an extremely thin coating of oil inside the E shaft. I basically used a very lightly oil soaked rag to wipe out any dust or surface rust that was in the hole. I mean a very light amount of oil. I wiped off the frost and tapped the bearing in with a 9/16 or 14mm socket. Oh yeah, I also heated the E shaft with a propane torch untill it was above room tempurature while the bearing was chillin'. I figured it was better to have a greater temp differential. The bearing tapped in very well. It went in pretty deep. Up to about 1/4" or so. This left plenty of room for the seal which I also froze beforehand as well. It went in well too.

Good luck, and I hope my info can help you in some way.
