heres pics of my new 83LE wheels
-after a bunch of polishing, note they haven't been cleaned yet

-before any work pics
up close pic to show the shine
side by side before and after pics

I'm very pleased with the way the wheels turned out after the many hours of sanding/polishing that was required to get the shine out of them. After seeing onlyonthurs's FB and and thinking he had just about the sexy'est wheels on a FB I ever saw I knew if I bought the 83LE's I had to copy him and duplicate the polished lip look, I'm not going to completly bite off onlyonthurs style by painting the center black (i love the black tho) but rather leave the center spokes factory finish or spray them gold, what color do you guys think I should paint the centers ? Heres a pic of the car they are going on for color reference

I feel a little bad using these rather rare wheels as my winter set but that is what I originally purchased them for so I'm sticking to it hehehe
.
I need a suggestion for a really good rain tire, its seattle duh
but the tire also needs to have the highest posible dry grip, again
-a quick tirerack search returned these tires
yoko ES100

BFGoodrich traction T/A

or
bridgestone potenza pole position RE960

Also I would like to personally thank fourm members 85gs (craig) for selling me such a clean set of wheels and onlyonthurs (marcello) for taking the time to help me out reaching my goals/plan I had for these wheels and also revealing his jedi tricks for making the wheels sparkle sparkle
you two were a big help, THANKS -aaron

They look awesome, I say leave them factory or black, no gold paint. Or if you want to be mad JDM you could do red centers.
And unless your future plans for the car involve putting the car in a ditch I wouldn't get the ES100's. I have them right now and I love them, but the smallest amount of moisture affects them.

I have some Sumitomo HTR 200 205/60/R14 on my 83 LE, and I love them. They did fine when I lived down in Lousiana, and we all know when it rains down there its a disaster lol

Nice job on the lip. Looks good! Got that bling going on! lol

it even has rb springs on the front, lol.

thanks all for positive comments,
hehehe dayton I'm already in love and they aren't even mounted yet, the kosie's aren't going anywhere except storage until june
I have about 500+ dollar rubber on them and they are getting down low in treadwear which also happends to be when they grip the best so I want to save them until summer when it doesn't rain for three months.
Speaking on the yoko's which happen to be the only tire on my list I have driven on, I have road shotty in a couple cars (96 jeda with full suspension and 93 prelude w/stock suspension) with the es100's and they gripped really well in the dry and I haven't seen them pushed in the wet but I'm guessing on a light rwd in the rain they prolly suck with that tread pattern.
I have always been a bfgoodrich tire man so I will prolly scoop that set but I still wanna hear anyones experience on the bridgestones as those are the same price and I like the tread pattern on them.

yes I did end up going with the Traction T/A's, so far they seem to have a very high level of grip to them, I'm going to mess around with psi's and seem if I cannot get them to handle better.
as promissed here are some dday time pics.
