Pictures of my new stereo install
I used the dash kit i started a post about a couple of weeks ago. And like everyone else, it took a little bit to fit it in just right.
Basically i just needed a stereo plain and simple, this is how it turned out:

Its all good. When i got my RX7 the center panel was in need of some help, i was going to paint it the factory silver, but it dawned on me that nothing else in or on the car was silver, so i painted it to match the body. People usually hate it or love it, i like it because it goes really well with the brown interior; i would call it chocolate and cream, lol.

Looks Great but how come Black did not come to mind?
Works with any interior color.
Still looks good and if it works for you , screw what we think.

Word, i like it and actually i got quite a few compliments on it as it matches the exterior perfectly. You forum guys might not like it, it may not be the greatest picture either; looks much better in person.

Dude.....
Actually, it was not the color that I disliked, just the fact that the ***** and buttons were painted. Nice looking install either way.
I'm having a system installed this afternoon, and hopefully they will do a good job of it. I'd do it myself, but I've been waiting for months to get a chance and it just ain't happening. Wish me luck...

Hey Mike;
What kind of Paint did you use?
Did you Prime it 1st?
I found some Primer called X-I-M Plastic & Viny Bonding Primer available through Sherwin Williams Stores for $5.62 a can.
It is a Quick Dry Primer and I did this before the final coat and you can take the rigid side of a Quarter and it will not Scratch Off.
I repainted most of my interior and used this stuff 1st and it still looks like the Color was Factory Done.
This info is for the Creative Minds getting ready to re-do there interior!
I'd also like to see a Full Dash Picture of how it came out.
No Dude Here!!!

As requested, here is a pic of the rest of the interior:
I used a product called bulldog primer that will let you paint virtually any paint on any surface after the primer is applied. I then found that dupli color "import colors" creme (or cream) was a perfect match!
In case anyone cares, i just hit 46K miles on the clock
Thanks for the comments guys.

Just not into the white on brown on white...
In my car, I've the burgundy interior. not my first choice of interior colours, but not bad with the black exterior. I painted my console fall, instrument bezel, and window switchplate the same black as the exterior, and added clearcoat, so it matches - but interior bits are often glossy black, so it doesn't look odd.
