ya...thats what I did with mine tear it down to nothing and start from the bottom up...only mine had alot of rust that I had to make pieces out of sheet metal to fill...basically had to rebuild the back window lip...front window ledge...and the sunroof lip...not fun...but I too am blessed with a wicked 3 car shop to work in...only I got lazy and bought a front clip instead of making one...looks sweet...

thanks,, theres a whole thread about that front clip,, its off a civic,, i made it by joining my car to the lip using fibreglass. in short

glad you guys like it,,,

doing stuff ground up takes allot of time and work if your gonna do it right,,
im already making comprimises due to be being a student and not having the money to pay for the way it should be,, for anyone out there considering something ground up, id say its worth starting out with a clean shell,, and then getting the whole car dipped (its basically a hot chemical tank that your whole car is submerged into) to remove all factory undercoating, paint etc.. and you can have it electroplated or something so that no rust comes back...
i may do this later down the road if i want to start over on the project.

all the rust removal i did was repaired using fibreglass... kindof a shortcut.

but thanks for the compliments..
