Pics of my GSLSE

Well, after about 2 years and close to $4000.00, I think I'm through. It's probably more than that, but I scared to add it up! I kept it stock, except for the Bonez cat, the stock ones were destroyed. It also has Tokico adjustable shocks and poly bushings. The int. was completely removed and dyed w/ VHT vinyl dye. It's a little too red, but pretty darn close. I'm just glad it's finished.

Andy

I thought about switching interior color, but I wanted to keep the car as original as possible. Also, the maroon fits in with the 80's feel, especially with the orange gauges and the clarion tape deck. mmmmm.... 80's.... good times......

I'll be selling it in a year or two. The wife and I want a convertable, and we only have room for one summer car. But I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor for a little while first.

....And thanks for all of the nice compliments! Andy

Either that, or a crazy Miata TII transplant monster. FC verts are tooooo sloooowww and they handle like a tugboat.

The dye is VHT vinyl dye burgundy satin. I prepped the interior pieces by washing them with a extremely diluted solution of TSP and scrubbed them with very fine steel wool. You need to get any trace of Armor All or other protectants off. VHT is a dye, not a paint, so it doesn't flake off. It's been a year since I dyed it. It holds up well. It faded a tiny bit, so it's not as red as it is in the pictures. It's not a perfect match, but as close as I'm going to get.

here's another exterior picture. My wife and I took a trip through the Green Mountains last weekend. Lots of twisty roads and lots of turning heads. I'll try to clean it up next week for a few more interior shots.

Andy

Not that this really has anything to do with anything but my GSLSE has cloth seats and carpet inserts in the door where you have wrinkly vinyl stuff. I much prefer the cloth.

Come one man, we dont want to hear about your Cloth*starts to chuckle* seats and whatever else, quit trying to thread jack and being an *** to someone who has dedicated ALOT of time and ALOT of money into their car to the way that they want it. Thats nice to have opinions but keep those type to yourself or PM someone else about it.(Dont PM me though) And with that said

And GSL-SE_INVT, GREAT WORK MAN! Keep the pics a commin!
