pics - convertible on ebay - 1st gen conversion - PHOENIX

yah I have heard that a few times. I understand they used 626 lid when trying to stay in bussiness on the last few. one thing that seams common through out on the avatars was the top assy. and the car in question at the top of the thread is not done anything like a avatar top assy. the avatar was a top quality car and though the car in question looks nice it is not the quality that they used. It looks more like the one done in fla or the one know as the cal coupe convertable. the pics I have on paper of the PA gslse has the same set up as above with an 84-85 US dash

I saw the car, very nice, has bracing on the underbody (two like L irons or whatever running front to back, and thats all i could see, didnt look too hard)
very nicely done, paint is a lil off in spots, but no big deal at all, like one chip in the paint, trunk is a tiny bit misaligned
looks real good with top up, i belive the top is from a mercedes, very nicely done
runs good too. auto though
but i saw it up close and personal, very nice car.

PS reason he doesnt have the top up, is because this is phoenix, rarely rains (although it did the past two days).
its a pain in the *** to put the top up, cause it has like 20 snaps at least, and more snaps on the top cover.
but we finally convinced him to put it up, it looks good, no big gaps or anything.
PM me if you have any SERIOUS questions, I can probably call him, but he does answer his e-mails, so e-mail him. But I will tell you what I know.

well, it is arizona, rains like 6 times a year.
but anyways, it does look good with the top up, not hacked together at all
definately reminds me of a old ferrari, like a daytona spyder or something of the sort.
