Picking up some drag radials :) Im sick of spinning...

Heres what i looked at today, they are Goodyear 20.0X8X13 size, R600 compound. $127.80/ea Anyone know what Im talking about? They are Eagle G-18's...

Fits on a 6" rim. 20.1 overall diamter, 9.1 section width, 8.0 tread width, 14 lbs.

Says product code is 807-434-068

Ok so no one knows, these tires are kinda designed to be a sticky tires for autocross etc. Though maybe one of you guys had seen them?

... are those DOT legal?

I've had good luck with Victoracers so far... but then again, I'm probably only putting, like, a third as much power to the ground as you.

Can't say I've seen those before, nope. Sorry.

Mike you should consider going to a wider and taller rim size already. I know you still got the horrible mazda lug pattern, but with the power levels you got, 13" wheels is not going to cut it anymore.

You should consider 15" and up. A lot more tire choices too.

13" for slicks would be perfect. For drag you want more sidewall, and it needs to be flexible too. Now if your talking autocross, than you shouldn't even be looking at drag radials... IMO

all good points guys, I know about the wheels, but Im not wasting time with getting new wheels if I ponder doing a 4 link setup in the rear, I got a buddy of mine that builds race cars chassis, and ****. I will do that later, but right now I think Ill just go this route...

These look like regualr tires, just really sticking compund, I think the treadwear rating is like 80 or so

Mike-P-28 I work at Goodyear. Im going to look into these at work tomorrow. You say they fit on a 6" width rim? Wonder if they will fit a 7" width rim?? Ill let ya know what i find out about these tires... -Rotary-Rex

They have them in several different sizes, I have the copy from the sheet somewhere here...
