Cool picked up a free 7 2day

i picked up a free 81 gs today white 5spd with black interior poorly taken care of it has on the odometer 178k it was sitting on the side of a shed for 2 years, so i left a note on the doorstep and a week later i get a call and says you can have it if you want it so i picked it up. to my surprise i can not turn the motor over i havent even tried with the key for the with the hand or wrench with breaker bar wont even budge it i dont know what to do so i think ill just take it apart in the years to come and see how things work practice porting and use what i can. possibly sell some parts to some needy 7 owners. i have removed plugs and found the nastiest orange rust all over plugs when i drained the radiator there was only water and the block as well so im sure the cold winters froze the water up. the **** on the plugs was like sludge. i atf the **** outa it i took off the carb poured down manifold poored in plugs. after a 6 hours i just began to take everything apart and everything had been poorly fixed. the exterior is good no rust, it has no sunroof though. the driver seat is torn but passanger is good the carpet is still clean and i want to put it in my 84 gs. the wheels i am going to use as winter wheels and put studded tires on em. sory for writing so much but if anyone has some advice for turning the motor over might help i might put it in reverse and go down hill but im not sure it has a brand new clutch i was told.

They'll tell you to pour some fluids into the engine to 'free it up'. If I were you, I'd just pull it apart and do a proper rebuild. The engines are quite easy to rebuild. Go for it.

I want an '81 for cheap (free). Lucky you!

Are you in FL, or not changed your "Location" yet?

If you do decide to part out any of it, I'm in need of a few things.

actually i found the registration it is an 82 g lowest model, right? besides the uhaul dolly fee, 53$ it was free. i am using the oil cooler and the black carpet since both in great shape a few other small things but i dont know what i want to do with it. i know most might not like this but id like to put a boing boing in there. Grand national would be sick, but a good motot from a yard just to **** around with, i ll pbly keep 12a and practice my port skills and have as back up motor i also want to practice adding some underhood air circulatoin ideas with the hood just tossing ideas around that might be good for my good 7. let me know if there are some parts you want.

Have been posting this in case anyone can spare them, so I'll post it here too (:

Couple things I'm looking for in order of importance:

*Trailing ignitor (possible cause of no tach? Want to test mine first though)
*Oil Pressure Sending Unit. (or help getting mine hooked
up again)
*Muffler
Passenger side front wheel well (plastic piece)
Sunroof latches (or trade for working pop-up sunroof?)
Window crank gears, if that's the problem.
Latch for Glovebox or just the door piece.
Left rear sidemarker (red) and black trim.
Left taillight cover.
Emblems.
Interior door trim.
Fix/replace passenger doorhandle.
Seats that aren't torn.

*Priority issues

I made a MSN Page to keep info up to date on my RX-7's progress. I may be getting some of the smaller issue items, but still am looking forward to eventually fixing all of those issues.

Are you in FL? I'm about an hour north of Tampa in Pasco.
