picked up an 85 gsl-se.... for $500!! (pics)

the guy i got it from said it ran like crap so he stoped driving it. turns out it had a broken spark plug. so i swaped in some extras i had for my FC into it and BAM runs haha. only 3 small problems or so i hope.
1) sometimes the turn signals dont work some times they do. i hav been looking arround on the 1st gen section a bit and cant get a solid answer either flasher or switch???
2) the stearing wheel has ALLOT of play in it and even moves in and out. i checked the suspention and the front end is tight. and tips fellas???

and 3) it has what i think is a light missfire. it is throught the power band but very noticabe at idle. i did a tune up, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor even an injector clean but allas still there. any tips on hunting it down??

oh and here are some pics. it got a bath yesterday.... but it rained on it today

aside of that little damage up front its great body wise no rust, no interior parts broken except the radio surround... damn thieves

Nice grab. I'd suspect the switch for the turn signal problem, but a flasher is cheap and easy to replace. Check the wiring diagram and see if you're getting power from the switch to the flasher relay.

Check these websites out:

http://www.mazspeed.com/steeringgear.htm

And no idea about the misfire, unless the distributor isn't timed correctly, or there's something stupid like the TPS is out of whack (very likely) or a vacuum leak.

The bodywork should be easy enough though. Get yourself a fender, headlight cover, and a new bumper and you're almost ready for the paint shop!
