Pic and Vid of my car from recent drag meet

Well it wasn't a very good day for me. The battery was dead, broke the shifter on my first pass and couldn't get gears on either of my 2 passes. Best pass of the day was a 13.07 @ 107 or something stupid. The car did launch pretty well though!

There is a video of the launch here: http://www.ajc13b.com/Movie/ajc_jam.mpg

Yes, well....most of the driveline is okay. Boxes are a bit of a reliability issue at the moment though

I ask that, because when i used drag race my 1969 mustang, u-joint failure was always a concern. the most commom driveline failure,,i used to launch it hard to,,man.
are the mazda's that tough ,? or do you have something else in there ??

OK..steve !! man thats pretty beefy. custom made shaft,
and used a ( ? ) input shaft. those axles ,,custom made too ? you know billet 31's aren't commom. whats a stock
mazda,,28 spline ?? whats the gear ratio of the ring and pinion ?also ,,i guess i'm getting at,,what housing or carrier ?? mazda, toyota, nissan,FORD ?? i've been through the rearend thing on my mustang, the 31 spline
axles,the 9' inch housing,N case carrier/w/n case caps,
zoom screws,4/11's in one carrier, and 3/55's in another.
pretty much bullet proof..except for those weak *** u-joints, even borg-warner solid's.. At the line, and wind it up, then launch and bang !! people ducking and moving back yelling at me..they were getting sprayed by needle bearings. 5 out of 10 runs were broken parts. i used to have to keep at least 5 extra u-joints in the tool box when i would race..needless to say, i got really good at changing u-joints..the car was NHRA legal and had a driveshaft safety hoop.. thought i'd share my driveline horror storie with you. any plans to partake in an event where there's a purse,,,$$$$ or are you just bracket's for now ?? anyway,,keep'em hanging high, something about wheel stands just gets me,,,right there !! Lol
talk to ya..

The diff is borg warner based and loosely at that

4.10 LSD centre cut for 31 spline axles, billet caps and all kinds of snazzy bits and pieces. Here is another pic of the parts ready to go together:

The diff cost me a bomb but it came with a 12 month warranty that included the use of slicks! Thats a pretty big call and so far I have had maybe 30 passes of which half have been 10 second passes and the only thing I have changed was a uni joint after the weekend of 10500rpm launches! lol!

My car came standard with 27 spline axles, I think earlier 7s came with 26 splines.
