my starter wiring is all mangled and hacked up up on my 85 S. i just put an engine in the car tonight and because the starter wiring is so mangled, it can't possibly turn over and i cant remember the exact wire colors and locations for the starter wiring. so, if anyone has any pics of the wiring to the starter and on the starter itself, i'd love to see them! its just late and i dont really care to go across town to the garage where i keep my 7's and get a pic from my 82 GSL. i'd get a pic from my 85 GS but the wiring is also mangled there as well. thanks in advance for the info and pics!

 

Negative cable from battery goes under the head of the long starter bolt (engine side). Positive cable from battery goes to large terminal on starter. Not the one with the wire going into the starter solenoid, the other one. Small Black/yellow wire from ignition switch clips onto male spade clip on starter. 12V to this wire turns the starter. Make sure your battery terminals are clean including where the cable clamps to the terminal.
