Pic Request: Aluminum Dash

I did a search and found multiple posts on how some were "in the process" or "plannin on" fabricating an aluminum dash... But does anyone have pics of it actually done?

I did it, it was fairly easy. Cutting for and installing the guages is a different story.

Oh, hell, if we're talking about dash inserts I'll post some pics of my creations.

If you're talking about a complete dash, I'm... uh... "in the process" of "plannin on" fabricating an aluminum dash.

he has two oil gauges cause he's got a turbo, and would most likely be for when the turbo spools and high amounts of oil pressure is needed, or it's that one is for the turbo one is for the engine

Here's an old pic of the first one I did.

What you can't see (because they weren't on there yet! ) is where I TIGed a tab on to screw the plate into the stock faceplate screw hole.

I made another a few months ago that fit in the hole much better, but I don't have any pics and am too lazy to dig it out of my aluminum pile and take a picture of it.

I'll see if I can dig up a picture from my dad's car. Imagine the same thing as the picture above, but just the lower portion for toggle switches and whatnot. All the stuff on the turn signal stalks (lights, turns, wipers, etc.) were put on this little plate. Makes it look cool, but a PITA to street drive (it's on a racecar so it's not a big deal). Also has switches for the data ac the previous owner had in the car.

Maybe in another month or so I'll have an al/fiberglass dash to take pics of.
