Phantom Oil leak

Our 85 project has mysterious oil leak. We cannot find where it is coming from. While the car is running, no leak. Park the car and come back there is a small puddle on the floor. I jacked up the car and let it run for 15 minutes and nothing. I turned it off, came back a half hour later and there is a small puddle. The only drips I see are on the oil pan where the sump transitions to the back and on the steering piece which passes under the pan. Please help me.

check the oil pedestal for any oil; o rings may need replacing. Also check the oil pressure sending unit. They start leaking from time to time. I couldn't figure out where my oil leak was coming from for awhile. My op sending unit had a small leak.

this might sound crazy.....but BABY POWDER finds all leaks. clean up your engine first and give it a healthy dusting where around the suspected area, your oil leak will appear before you very eyes.
