Arrow Performance Questions

Hey Guys,

After looking at all the things I can get for my RX7 I have a few questions;

1) My car's running 0-60 at 9 seconds on a GTech, that's horrible, will the fuel filter being clogged cause this?

2) What's the best part to add to your car, exhaust or a short throw shifter?

3) Headers bolt to the engine, presilencer bolts to the headers, connecting pipes bolt to the presilenecer and so fourth right? Could I build an exhaust system piece by piece?

4) Can 13B be turbo'ed? Is there any kits out there available or would it have to be all custom work and what not.

1. Not sure

2. I would say exhaust first

3. Don't see any reason why not

4. The 13B came stock as a turbo engine, but if its a 12a (non turbo) there sometines are kits that pop up on ebay from time to time. (You'll have to fight me for it though )

Wow,

RE-4) didn’t realize there was a turbo hiding in my engine bay, oh wait, there's not. So could I go to a junk yard and yoink all the manifold and piping and what not out of a Junker and drop it directly on mine and it would work?

RE-3) Well, I figured since the presilencer didn't look like it had bolts on it that it wouldn’t bolt up so I could order it piece by piece.

read the FAQ sticky at the to of this page. if you still have these questions after that, then ask.

i can't remember if the stock specs are covered there, so to answer you first question, yes ... a 9 second 0-60 time is fairly normal if your car is bone stock. the 12A's were running something like 9 or 9.5 seconds and i think the SE shaved 1 second of their times if i correctly recall.

no offense, but ... dude, you probably need to visit the FAQ thread, too.

there were no stock 13B Turbos for our generation. the Gen II cars began the factory 13BT. there was a 12A Turbo for our generation, but it never came here and aside from maybe being a collector's piece, it's probaby not worth searching for either (my opinion) because you'll get much better performance building up a stock 12A for turbocharging.

check the archives for a Turbo 12A thread ...

Well,

The problem is, I don't have a 12A lying around and nor do I have any experience in carbs what so ever. My dad has his RX7 coming in with a brand new 12A in it but it has mass electrical problems so until that's fixed it's undriveable.

I'd like to go ahead and turbo whatever I have under the hood or find some way to get my HP/TQ up so I can actually win some races!
