Question Performance Ignition coils

I'm in the process of collecting parts for my DLIDFIS project. I've read a lot of posts about MSD Blaster coils but at around 30 bucks a pop I'm wondering if they're really worth the money. Are they really better than stock? Also, are there any other "performance" coils that are just as good but cheaper? TIA
