Performance

Well, with the car running, and the Carb finally Mechanical, I've gotten some times down.

I'm running low-mid sixteens in the 1/4 ( ), and about 8's in the 0-60.

I didn't know a streetport and carb mods would run me SO WELL!

This is also on not-so-sporty BF tires.

I'm very happy with the performance of my 'low compression' motor, and can't wait until sevenstock when I can really open it up on the freeways!

I know it may not seem like much, but when I was running 18's or so before, and HARDLY beating V6 Mustangs. . . . . and now THIS. . . . . I'm ecstatic!

Well, that's not exactly TRACK times, more like my stopwatch's times, so that can be off by god knows how much, but, yeah

Some pics of what's been done to the poor beast, for if anyone cares.

I'll post some pics of the Carb and the new tires when I take the pics.

Your times are definately off. If u were beating V6 mustangs before, you were doing at least low to mid 17's before. I wouldn't doubt that your in the mid 15's now, if not faster. Get a better way of timing.

Also, Elysian, with that setup, you'll have at least 210 FWHP, which is enough to put an FB in the 14's, as long as you have traction.

To get better ET's , first let a few pounds of air out of the rear tires and add a few pounds to the fronts and see what happens. but don't blow the engine before the BBQ (SS8) it's aways off still.

For a stock SE that would be normal. The best 0-60 I've done on my slightly modded 12A is 8.13.

The dash is custom. The cheap spraypaint at Wal mart has many uses (sanded the surfaces before painting to get it to 'grip' a little more).

The wheels have 'chrome blue' spraypaint on them. It'll flake soon, I'm sure, but I just HAD to have matching wheels.

I also painted the fan blue, and got blue spark plug wires

I'm pulling a run at the local dragstrip this upcoming Friday, they're SURE to have better timers
