People w/ Bridge ports

How do you like them as far as street driveablility?

I have my daily driver (although i dont use it all the time, i usually catch a ride or ride my bike), which i'm probably going to convert from 6 to 4 port 13b.

I'm wondering what kind of port job to do on it.

BTW< this is from and is going into an 85 GSL-SE.

Peace, Geoff

Everyone has their own opinion (usually mis-informed ) but I'll tell you this... my car gets driven every day and the next engine (hopefully by December) will definately be a bridge-port. The only drawbacks IMO are the fuel consumption and the need for a loud exhaust but I'm willing to live with it.

Well, with a carby, they aint that much fun pottering around the city, won't idle at 60km/h very easliy, lol. However, convert to EFI and they are so much more fun to drive!

BTW: SE motors have 3mm apexes, they are the best motor for a 1st gen IMO

Geoff,

You can do a 6-port Streetport in your car. If done properly, you will absolutely freakin LOVE it.

Do a search by my name and also David88Vert. Both of us have had streetported 6-port motors.

nothing like having a Streetport with torque!

Don't be convinced by people who don't know about them. If done properly, a 6-port 13B, can be streetported nicely, and you can keep your Fuel Injection.

i have a bridgey on ebay... if it doesnt sell ow, I will put it back on there with a a 400 NR... I know I wont get it.. but oh well... I also have the louvers on ebay...hopfully they will sell..... they are complete with all hardware.. and if the bidding goes up around or over 200.. i will include the sides... fat chance in selling them.. but oh well...

search my name as the seller... rotaryrx7toy

Thanx, LAterz, Andrew

PS, I am not gonna use them, because I really wouldnt be able to stand the fuel nconsumption... but if I could afford that, then I would use them... plus I have debts...LOL

Have a nice day!

I got a 12a bridgy and well... It's not too bad to drive round town, but yeah, It's REAL loud, round' town you really notice it. Driving slow and gettin it to sound good and be smooth is hard, mainly because Im still using the Nikki carb only slightly mod'd. But all in all its a damn good motor, not too bad on gas either.
