Pedal Box or similar brake relocation

Has anyone had any luck using a Pedal Box or some other means to relocate or eliminate the FB (83 Rx-7 to be specific) Power brake booster, master cylinder, slave cylinder etc.

I'm anticipating some challenges stuffing a 351C (351 Cleveland) into an 83 Rx-7 wide body I have. On a 5.0 or 302 the heads barely miss the brake booster etc. and with the 351 Cleveland being wider than both the 302 and 351 Windsor engines I'd just as soon relocate or use a Pedal Box.

Any input would be appreciated on brake booster etc. relocation or a good Pedal Box or similar set up.

Thanks!

Wrong section, you need to post in the swap section. No one here will likely know that much
about boinger swap issues.

This section states:
"1979-1985 Discussion including performance modifications and technical support sections"

The vehicle is a 1983 and it is a performance modification. I have posted this question in several applicable sections hoping to get some valuable input. Let a moderator decide where the question should be or let me know otherwise. This site is full of people that jump on others for posting in the wrong sections etc. which is why I've chosen not to post anything here, until now, in the 6 years I've been a member.

Let the moderators moderate and if you don't have something constructive to contribute, don't contribute. I don't need every member here telling me what I should and shouldn't do. That's what the moderators are for. I need constructive input on how to go about working on my Rx-7.

I'll always cherish this first response on the site thanks so much for your invaluable input. I have no doubt it is why you have over 6k posts.

Wow - I think T_G_Farrel was just trying to help. The V-8 section really would be the best place to get help. With that said, I think you're in uncharted waters with moving the pedal box. Maybe get a Wilwood brake booster.

I was just pointing out why you didn't see any responses in a day and where to get likely
answers. Did I judge you for puttng a v8 in? Did I mock you in some way? I think the answer is
no on both counts.

Yeah I have 6K posts because I tend to give out useful advise to newbs and write up the
occasional thread to document areas that I've worked on.

What have you done lately other than demonstrate a bad attitude.

I installed a Wilwood pedal set in my race car a few years ago they where hung from a braket that was welded to my roll cage they had remote reservoirs and a bias adjustment from front to back. They were manual brakes with a 7/8" front and 3/4" rear master cylinders. I don't have any pics available and I no longer own the car. If this for a street car application I would not recommend using it the braking effort would be to high for any extended period of driving.

Thanks this is the kind of input I need. I've looked at a few different models and some of them have an adjustment for pedal effort. That may be one of the features I need to keep in mind for my application. Did you hang the assembly on a bracket from the roll cage for ease of installation or did you find there was interference with installing it another way?

This will primarily be a street car. My better half won't let me take cars to the strip anymore but I have been known to steal my ***** out of her purse for a weekend when she isn't looking.

Thank you again for your input.

Welding a plate off the cage for the pedals was the best and easiest solution to the problem.

i went to a dual master manual brakes in my rally car. Now I went back to the booster. For fine and frequent modulation of the brakes, it frankly didn't like it. Spent some time trying to hone in adjustments and whatnot but at the end of the day, I kept the master.

that said, I've seen many V8 swaps, and clearance to the brake master cylinder does not seem to be a common problem, so i would worry about this if only you find something to be a problem.
