pedal box removal?

Hey guys any tips on removing the pedal box assembly? I started removing mine to swap it over to my new shell(didnt come with one) and it looks like the steering column needs to be removed for it to clear. Any tips on getting this out and removal of the column?

Thanks, Ed

The steering column does not need to be removed. There is a long bolt that goes through the top of the pedals on a 1984 and 1985. I believe on the 1979 - 1983 the entire pedal assembly can be removed. Neither requires the column to be removed or loosened. I just did my 1985. I can't find it but there was a good write-up on it.

Okay I know which bolt youre reffering too. I believed its a 14mm. I'll give it try coz I need the whole assembly not just the pedals.

Thanks, Ed
