Noob Rear end question

I have 2 1987 SR5 Corollas. I'm installing a 20V 4AG in one, but the other I'm putting in a 13B. I was going to put in a Tacoma rearend, but my local junkyard is currently out. But I did find a 1st Gen RX-7 with a drum rearend. I wouldn't mind putting it under my corolla to kind of go with the sleeper look since the SR5 has drums stock and no one around here would ever expect is to have a 13B with a S4 turbo. Anyway, my question is, do the drum and disk 1st gen rearends have the same size diff in them. Can I put the LSD from a disk rear into the drum rear? What LSDs form other rearends or cars would fit in the drum rearend? I can get this rearend for $50 drum to drum so it's a cheap good option. Thanks.

omnly on early 83 cars I believe. The drum axles are smaller diameter than the rear disc axles.

The drum diff is open, so you might as well just go full wheel disc, so you get bigger axles for more power, plus a LSD rear.

Stick with the 84-85 rearend. Drum will be open diff, disc will be lsd. Diffs are a straight swap between the rearends. By using the S3 rearend, you can also upgrade your axles through ReSpeed.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I'm not super worried about it being a drum rear cause I have stuff to convert it to disk. I'm not planning to put alot of power to the rear (about 190whp max). Plus, around where I live, there are no other junkyards with 7s in them. This one is the only one. And people around here who could get a disk rear, want like $550-$750 for one with a bad or no LSD. These rednecks around here think import car parts are gold, so the charge outrageous prices for stuff. This pick and pull yard is the only one with awsome prices. I can get a N/A S4 13B for $100 (all engines are $100), All trannies are $80. So I try to make due with what I can get from there.
