Parts for fb question
Hi guys,
I came upon an interesting offer, a 1990 fc for $600 with around 140,000 km on it, in running condition.
The car has paper registration problems, so i'm not sure if i would be able to get it registered if i buy it, so for worth case scanerios i'm trying to figure out what to do.
So if i am unable to get it registered, i am thinking of swaping the engine and trany into my 83 gsl.
I know the rear end has diffirent mounts, but has anyone adopted and fc read end into an fb? what about the front end?
any other parts?
here are some pictures of the car in question.

haven't seen the car in questions personaly, it's a good 600km away :/ but from what i was told it was never winter driven, no under carage rust, all body rust spots have been removed, only issue is a missing door window ?:/ and a small break problem.
all things fixable, and as much as i love my fb, i really don't want to take this fc apart, but as i might not have any options i'm looking at what is usable so that i can get something out of this car.

That S5 is in too good of condition to part out. At 600, it would be a bargain to get the tittle straightened out and the mechanicals fixed. Can't tell from the pics for sure, but I take it that it doesn't have a sunroof. If it doesn't check the front calipers. If they have 4 pistons, it may be a GTUs, and those are worth some money. Check the door sticker too. If it lists 16" tires as stock, then it is a GTUs. Those can be worth as a much as a similiar TII.
