humm that is really kind of a loaded question. Housing and rotors brand new run between 600-800. Now you could by a whole used car that might have only 80-100K on the engine and have perfect housings for 800-1000$, but then you would have a whole entire spare parts car. So are they expensive yes are they cheap yes are they fun to work on hell yes. before you know it you will have 2 cars and 3 parts cars your trying to get rid of My sugestion get 3 and then you wont have any need for parts.

Parts are pretty cheap actually, until you get to engine parts. Then that is when it starts getting expensive.

go to racingbeat.com or mazdatrix or just find a parts place and compare for yourself, see if its what you're expecting.

We have plenty in our local junkyards. In fact, I have a habit of breaking whatever I dont need. It will be crushed anyway. Before you guys cut my throat, hardly anyone here pays attention to RX-7; they think its a junk!!

Yeah, the local junkyard is the first place to try. I've had a lot of luck getting good body parts, like fenders, hoods, etc., even winshields. Even some pristine leather burgundy seats.

Two that run, two junkers

But there was a time I had 7 in my yard. It is a disease. So my advice is buy the nicest RX-7 you can find and pay whatever it costs. Then get to be friends with the idiots that have the junkers in the back yard!

"So are they expensive yes are they cheap yes are they fun to work on hell yes. before you know it you will have 2 cars and 3 parts cars your trying to get rid of My sugestion get 3 and then you wont have any need for parts."

I am reminded of the advice that goes: "Don't get married and go through all that hassle, years of mysery, then the divorce, etc. Just find a woman you hate and buy her a house."
