MA Part number look up(factory bra question)

Hey guys, I was looking through my collection of parts, and found two bra's. One is a LeBra,and the other appears like it is maybe a factory accessory. It has a part number written on the backside, and it is as follows:

022-40-9933

It has RX-7 silkscreened on the front, and it looks like a fairly similar font as the factory, but not quite the same so maybe it isn't a factory accessory. The headlight covers are attached to the bra unlike the LeBra unit that has separate covers. The headlight covers on the factory looking one have hook-and-loop tape on them, and you undo them, and roll up the covers in front of the headlight openings to raise the headlights. Both are in great shape, and I am inclined to sell both or one of them, but I want to know what I have first.

Any help would be appreciated.

factory part numbers are 4 digits then 2 digits, then 3 and a letter

first 4 is the application, 8871, is SA, N201 is an 81-82 12A etc etc. 99 or 0000 numbers are special..

second 2 is the group, 15 is cooling system, 16 is the clutch, etc etc

third group is the actual part. 15-200 is a radiator, 16-410 is a clutch cover, 52-210 is a left fender, etc etc. the letter is the revision/version, usually when they update a part, it'll get a higher letter. its not 100% mazda likes to make a system and not follow it

with the exception of mazdatrix, they take the 1st 4 and put it at the back. so the mazda number N201-10-100 = mazdatrix's 10-100-N201.

9933-40-022 looks like a mazda part number, but 022-40-9933 does not

I don't think Mazda had a factory bra ever. Back in those days the dealers
would put stuff like this on as dealer add on options. My car used to have a
cover that mounted from behind the seats, across a bar added just above
the metal peice on the rear carpet and then snapped to snaps mounted
along the rear window trim. The cover was split along the side it would
raise and lower with the window. I wish I still had it or could find one. I
lost it in the move. I still have the bar across the back and its actually
convenient for keeping stuff in place when I have a large cooler or
camping gear. Anyway, I bet the bras were the same way, dealer supplied.

Sounds like a Wolf bra. I have one of those and really liked it except the
velcro on the headlight covers started wearing out and they would flip
open over 80 mph Also I would have to manually uncover the headlights
anytime I wanted to use them. Other than those two things its a far
superior bra to the LeBra or knockoffs.

Now I have a LeBra or a knockoff but its very similiar to the other one
you talked about. Independent headlight covers that slip over the
headlights. Cheaper bra, not as thick and doesn't have as much
padding/softstuff on the back side. I got it for $30.00 I think. At that
price I figure I can just replace it when I need to.

Heres what the LeBra looks like, don't have one of the wolf.

I have had every different bra made for my FB.

By far the best one is the Covercraft bra.

20 different connections under the hood.

Separate Headlight covers.

Really great Quality.

Mine is 5 years old and still looks great.
