Primer is OK. You can always shoot lacquer because if you don't like it it's just primer. And you can rub it out and see how the car will look.

Hmmmm I would have to say leave it as is until more cash flow dude. The silver color is nice and despite the two-tone, doesn't look unbearable.

Silver rocks!

It looks good w/just about any wheels, and doesn't show the dirt the way a dark color does.

Keep it silver!

I have to agree with excitingleopard.

The car looks ok, there is no rust, and its not like its tremclad rust paint red.

The paint that is on the car is goint to protect your car much better then the primer will.

Also, my personal feeling is there is no better way to ruin your car, then with a bad paint job.

You will be further ahead if you save your money and have your car painted by professionsal painters.

This is just my humble opinion

I'm in the process of returning my car to its orginal color one panel at a time, so I know what it's like to drive around in a weird two-tone thing. Maybe you could just shoot the front end, to make the car look a little more uniform.

I would not drive aroudn for logn with JUST primer. If you do that the primer is not very good at stoppign moisture compared to actual paint finish therefore you will be much more (suseptical) (spelling?!?) to rust. In the end you could end up one giant step backwards. Just my 2 cents

agree with PedX, primer does poor job stopping moisture. you can buy some anti-rust primer that is thicker than normal and seals better.

or buy some spray paint cans, match the paint and rattle can it. I did the nose of my 1st gen like this and it turned out allllllllllllllllllrighty then!
