Paint question
To all you paint n' body folks:
I've always heard it's easier to re-paint a car the original color than, say, a biege car to a red color.
Can someone explain just why that's so, assuming it is?

Well if you sand down and prime then its no problem,
If you scuff and shoot pending on your colors it takes more to cover..
I dont paint cars by trade..I sprayed houses for a couple years. My friend is a painter and I have helped him and know why some things are done and some things are not..

I read your email
If you change the color of the car drasticaly then you should do the door jams and under hood too. OTherwise it just looks funky. If you opt to do this then it will obviously cost a lot more money.
