I like that. But I dont like that you painted the side stripes.

none of the trim or mouldings or sidestripes are painted. They have all been taped off. We are making sure th epaint is good and set before we remove it, ill pry remove it at like 5 pm tonight when i get home and ill take some more pics. I just gotta decide if i wanna lower my car and go drive it or wait a few days and put my new seats in before i drive it.

But now you have a different color under them.

you wont see any of the paint underneath them though and it didnt cause any reaction so its all good.

amazing.

what paint materials did you use and is it dificult to do? looks like you and your dad have done a great job. i need to paint the roof of my 7 can a little bumper scratch.

2 quarts paint
Clearcoat
Sandpaper pads for initial sanding
1000 grit for wet sanding
lots of masking tape and paper
bondo
primer
reducer
fiberglass for any major damage areas
Cleaner(dries fast and takes off all oiliness and ****, cant remember what its called)
paper towel
plastic tarp stuff to enclose painting area
water hose and water to keep cement wet to keep dust down.
Some good lighting
ill think of more soon.

it depends on who mixes the paint and what paints they use to mix it.

i c i c. ill drop by the local auto paint place. i hope they can reproduce the factory paint well. just doing *some* touching up.

btw when is the unveiling for your car?

early this week i hope. Drivers side seat fell right in place with a minor bracket mod to 1 side. Passenger side we have to make brackets to mount everything up. those will be done tomorrow the latest i hope. My dads doing the bumpers today and putting my taillights and everything on while im at work.
