To paint the LE wheels......?

I just laid down some cash on a set of the "Limited Edition" mesh wheels. They are in good shape but need a little TLC finish wise.. I am using them as my track rims with my race rubber. (the car will be painted silver and I am leaving the rub strips black) Should I paint the centers black when I refinish them and leave the polished lip or.....

A) leave them silver
B) do the black with polished
C) Do gunmetal with polished
D) Orange with polished (LOL)

Anyone with pictures of "black or dark" mesh rims on 1st gens post em if you got them....

Thanks

Trevor

My blue LE will get either black or gunmetal wheels when I take the thing apart to make it not look like a piece of ****. I'm currently debating between those colors, too, so post pictures when you get done. Since the car is silver, I'd lean towards a gunmetal. I wouldn't do silver, unless you paint the wheel wells black (I do it in the racecars just for grins, and it makes it look a lot nicer).

There is such a thing as too much silver. Gold on the other hand....

CHROME them! Then you can be a baller at the track when you roll on dubs.

im doing almost the exact same thing ( i haven't gone to pick the rims up yet though!)

there were a set of those fugly old gold mesh rims on one of our parts cars that we traded a friend for an engine. The deal was we got the rims back though, i just gotta pick em up.
I plan on painting them black, and keeping the polished lip, i think it will look awesome.

I can only see one color! Guess I am still high from painting the motor.
Blast them and bring them over. We will get em done.

yes, teh gunmetal. Looks better due to still being able to see the design of the rim, where as black just looks like a big black hole there and LE rims a pretty nice so show 'em off
