Painless wiring kit?

Anybody ever used a full painless wiring kit on a car?

I am considering one for my car, since I will no longer have
AC or PS.

Seeing KevinBtz car without the dash made me think about doing it again..
I'd probably replace the stock instrumentation with something aftermarket as well.

Seems I could probably hide a good amount of the wiring within the frame
rails etc. Kinda like the Aussies do.

Only thing is I want to keep my power windows and pop-up headlights.
Dont know how that would work out...

Any ideas? Experience?

I've heard nothing but good things with Painless Wiring. I've looking into one for when I had my little S-10. Quite frankly the simplest setup I've ever seen in my life, and I enjoy automotive wiring. It really is painless.

The kit should also come with a fuse distribution block that'll provide some accessory slots for any add-ons you may have. Hope that helps.

from experience with a few painless products i would assume that it would work out just fine, especially for the fb, as there standard harness's will be super long to run it though the rails since there designed for muscle cars. As far as lights/ windows ect you can use after market rocker switches that painless sells, or buy your own and wire them up.

Here is the one I think I am going to use.

And like you I am going to keep the power windows amongst other things, I will keep you updated with any problems I run in to. As of right now though its looking pretty strait forward after I got rid of all the crap in the stock wiring harness.

Make sure to document everything. I will be doing this in the near future.

In addition to the windows & pop up headlights I would also like to retain my power mirrors.
