Pacesetter cat-back from jcwhitney... bad idea?

Pacesetter cat-back from jcwhitney... bad idea?

I've heard bad things about their headers, but what about their cat-back and muffler? it seems to be the only cat-back system i can find for my 7. The nice thing is that it's only $149 and includes a resonator, alot cheaper than the $100 muffler and $80 cat-back i had ran that uses stock exhaust components and is crush bent.

They are ****. I had it on there once.

FIrst off, you will spend $50 trying to get it cut and welded back into shape, because they dont bolt on from the factory. By this time, it would have been cheaper to insall the racing beat.

Don't get one...my friend has one on his '86, and it sounds horrible. They're thin steel, and it gives them a raspy, tinny sound. Stay away from them.

Racing beat doesn't offer a full cat-back or i'd definately get one from there. Is there any other places that sell cat-back exhausts? pacesetter is all that i can find.

they bolt right up, sound great then you will need to replace them after about 60 days because their worn out and sound like ****. the packing is very cheep and the internals are thin and poorly made. but they do bolt right up and sound great for a few days. first you will be very happy then day by day you grow into the feeling of being cheated out of the 150 you spent

So you only want the cat-back, and not the full exhaust they offer?

I've already got a full exhaust, i just need a cat-back to replace what i have.
