Hey, don't feel bad. I went to a junkyard last week to see two FCs that have been there for a while. Had titles, but both had sit for ~4 years and the tires had even come off the beads. One was even wrecked. Asked the guy how much he wanted for them. Response.........$1800 each. He said the motors were worth that. I politely left before I cracked up. $1800 for a 13b that hasn't run in 4 years. Yeah right.

The price is a little high but not excessive.

A good clean interior is nice to find. Auto cars are not bad at all and make great drivers.

Just like anything else... a car is worth what a buyer is willing to pay...
Some find it expensive... others fair... others a bargain. that's the way it is.
If you go there and offer 1700 for it, is yours.

thatd actually be pretty easy to fix as long as where the headlight bolts to the frame isnt damaged. as long as its just the headlight assembly, itd be a piece of cake. id inspect where it mounts though.

if that were to be the case, and as long as rust wasnt an issue and it were mechanically sound, its a fair deal.

That's more than just a little dent and it's in a bad spot...fender replacement time. I'd offer $1400 tops because a repair of that size, even if they don't replace the fender, will usually mean the body shop wants to respray the whole car...and it is an automatic, after all.

i was thinking along the lines of what was said earlier , but it might need some time on a frame rack. maybe it isnt bad bad , but eh ... 1400 does sound good though . i do have the parts to fix it and if it needed to be pulled. i could get out of it what i put into it on ebay lol .

The fender is about $130 new, and $20 from the junkyard. The headlight is pretty easy to fix and may not require parts. You'll need 2 cans of spray paint from paintscratch.com at $28 each.

$2200 isn't bad for an 85GSL with 94k, but I'd try to get $200 off for the damage.

My 85GSL with 84k is AOK and i was thinking of asking about $2200 for it, but now I think I'd sell it to an RX-7 guy for $1500 just because I have too many cars. It's a sweetheart and was my DD for about 3 years until I got my SE up to snuff.

people here are way too funny...
when is time to buy a car they depreciate the car to the max... then when is theirs, they think the car is worthless and/or defend their love for their 1st gen. stating how valuable their car is... Isn't that a double standard or better yet, hypocrisy... that is a big

If that was your car, how much do you think you would sell it for?... that is the price that you should be willing to pay.

I said it and I repeat it; Just like anything else... a car is worth what a buyer is willing to pay...
