radiator clogged or coolant seal (blowby) issue, since yuo already replaced the waterpump and thermostat. few things to check out.

Sounds like you may have combustion gasses escaping into the coolant system, which then pressurizes the radiator and shoots the coolant out of the overflow.

You might try replacing the radiator cap, sometimes they will get weak.

If it's an internal water seal problem, then you can still try Paul Yaws Temporary Water Seal Leak fix. As I recall Yaws original problem that lead him to this fix was just as bad.

If you have trouble finding Yaws fix, I have it here and can upload it.

It only costs about $20 to do and takes about a day to go through all the clean and flush cycles, but it often works and it often lasts for years.

i found out why my car wont idle. the BACV and the anti afterburner system are competing after each other in a big cycle one turns on one turns off in a big cycle so i went and bought a block off kit so i can just take all those systems off. its from these guys http://www.2751engineering.com/2751parts.html

Is the block off plate the same as 2nd and 3rd gens cuz thats all i see on that site. Racing beat and mazdatrix have those as well i believe

Also maybe i dont fully inderstand the function of those but do they explain the cooling/rad issue?

for the 13b re-egi yes it is just order the S4 NA kit. i think i had too high heat of a thermostat turned out it was a 195 degree instead of a 185 or lower i just picked up a 180 degree yesterday i just haven't put it in yet i will try that sealer for the radiator.

It does sound scarily like your coolant seals have a leak and you're getting blowby in the coolant passages. For your sake I hoe it isn't. Best of luck to you. Just don't keep letting it overheat its only going to make things worse. Keep us posted

K i will be the one to say it AGAIN, there is a good possibility as a few others have stated that the combustion gasses are going into the cooling gasses. This has been mentioned in this thread, and i cannot remember if you were the one with the other 2 threads or not, that were similar to this one. Good chance of blow by. as stated.

Read this for your idle issues....http://www.nellump.net/peri/epi/firs...gslseIdle.html

As for overheating... If you've got coolant, make sure the water pump is ok. If you have doubts flush the system to ensure the passages are clear. There isn't all that much to the cooling system on these cars.
