out of the way oil cooler?
on the sometimes harsh canadian roads, the long rad-style oil cooler of my 85 se really takes a pounding. not to mention the porcupine that tried to cross the road just a little too slow. I wanna build some mounts thatll raise it up maybe 2 inches, and i see that the hoses could easily be re-routed over that frond endy piece they normally go under. any thoughts on this technique or other suggestions? please. im mainly worried about a lock of cooling problem.

i got a Rx4 oil cooler in my first gen. one oil hose goes over the sway bar, other under it. oil cooler mounted in front of radiator. if you need to raise the oil cooler just fab new mounts. you MUST use rubber mounts. don't solidly mount the oil cooler to car. it'll shake and crack the oil cooler.
you might need longer oil hoses. good time to switch to -10 AN braided.

Tennis, anyone
I don't know if your familar with the FC's ( 2ed gens)
but they have there rads. 'laid' down/forward.
with a rad. in that position the air/oil cooler can be
moved up, higher from the ground. so the critters will
now clear. you'd need to get some sort of electric fan
though. it's a thought.or an option. ?
