Cool Ordered Racing Beat Exhaust Today

Well, I ordered my new exhaust today from Racing Beat. I'm getting a streetable header and a pre-silencer for now, and I will get the muffler later. Just thought Id share, I hope this works for now. I just needed something to replace my bad cats, and I figured, if I was gonna buy exhaust stuff, why not "upgrade" a little . I also ordered the tranny seal kit from them, so when I get my new clutch in, I can put new seals in the tranny too .

What day is it? Oh man, it's only Thrusday? Darn, I cant wait to get my exhaust . I picked up my Accel wires today too, 300+ Thundersports. So now I have, new exhaust, tranny seals, plug wires, oil pan (old one was cracked), oil pan gasket, thermostat, thermostat gasket, air filter (K&N), oil filter, fuel filter, clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, release bearing, spark plugs, and radiator hoses . Also, Im in the process of having the flywheel resurfaced, and Im getting new tires, and all Red Line synthetic for the rear end and tranny next week . Ahh...The joy of having a good car .

PS - When I was at the parts store today, some guy tried to tell me that to run the synthetic oil in the diff, that I needed some $6 tube of additive gunk for the LSD clutches, even though the oil says that its for use with LSD. Do any of you run with that additive in your rear end? Is it necessary?

There is an additive for LSD's that greatly reduces noise and friction, etc. I am not sure what it is. But for $6 bucks? Come'on - added insurance.

P.S. I see you finally got the engine running and on the road. You must be Mad Happy.

the guy at champion said he sells the additive it to every person who has a lsd that comes in. it was only a few bucks, it works though. mine rattled like hell above 3800rpm before. i was actually planning on taking it out and having it rebuilt, but i just replaced the oil and used that additive, and now it is perfectly quiet and smooth. you're not THAT cheap, are ya??

GM LSD addative

GM LSD additive was recommend to me buy a tech guy at Mazda motorsports/Competition Parts. He said he has had good luck with just mineral based oil in the LSD. He called it Dead Dynosaur oil.

I also mentioned to him about using MMO and he said their are better premix oils you can get, like at a motor cycle shop get some 2 cycle premix. He said the MMO smeels good though.

Well, its not that Im too cheap, I just didnt wanna dump something into my LSD that would screw it up, and since Ive never had to do this before, I just wanted to double check. So if you guys say its good (which it sounds like you are), Ill buy it .
