And to answer someone's question about the throttle cable rod, it's just an alternator bracket twisted around to work - crude but effective.
I'm in the process of converting the car back to EFI - mainly due to California smog. It's either that or sell the car to someone outside of CA because I can't get plates for it until it passes smogged.

Replace with New wheel which you brought, and you're almost done.
(I wasn't always a good boy before I became a 5-0).
By the way. VERY Nice car.
and I have an entire 85-SE Upper Intake system if you're interested.

Especially with the 1st Gen steering wheels. All you have to do is pop off the horn cover, Undo 1 bolt, hit and rattle the wheel, and the wheels comes right off

Nah, the throttle is very smooth. I imagine as long as the angle on the throttle cable is correct you shouldn't have any problems and since it's just an alternator bracket you can pretty much bend it to any angle you'd want.
The car doesn't really seem to run right with that carb, it will hesitate big time when you step on the gas WOT at idle. Probably vacuum related somehow, but since we are converting back to EFI anyway I'm not going to worry about it.
Yes I know about the club being easy to defeat but I'd rather force a theif to waste an extra minute or two than have nothing on the car at all. That club has a $1000 guarantee also, so if someone does steal the car I'll get $1000 (supposedly) which isn't that bad.

The carb is a Weber 45 DCOE, but already spoken for.
V8kilr, I'm moving this thread to the top so you can actually get an idea of everything I'm missing.
Thanks,
Mike

It basically runs like crap, which is why I'm getting rid of the carb and converting it back to EFI. Low end hesitation is pretty bad but I think that's due to a vacuum leak somewhere. I'm not real concerned about it since I'm converting back to EFI within the next few weeks.
I think this carb would be more ideal for a 12A, though I was told it would run better on this engine with larger jets.

I like the cool-aid dyed seats!
Anyway, it might be just me, but it HAS to have mass camber problems and HAS to be a couple inches lower to the ground!

I'm workin' on that. I'm selling those wheels and putting on a set of 15s - if and when I sell the 17s. I think they would be ideal for a 4 lug 2nd gen car, a little too much for the FB.
See my ad in the parts for sale section if interested.

Smeagol, tell whoever is getting your carb to look into adjusting the accelerator pump or rejetting its circuit. You arent getting enough fuel into the engine when pressing the throttle, causing it to stumble.
