I have two 3in magnaflow polished mufflers for my exhaust system. One is a 6" round canister type and the other is a 4x9" oval with a center exit. Which one would you hang on the end?

My oval just showed up yesterday, it's going in the back, still waiting on the round one to use as a mid muffler.

That is my origanal plan too, just now that I have both in front of me I started to wonder "what if". I guess I just really need to get my *** in the garage and see for myself.

If the oval could fit as a mid-muffler, it might do better at quieting down the exhaust. Wouldn't know for sure until someone tries it.

i ordered the oval for resonator, but my muffler man said it wouldnt fit the way he wanted it to. ive had the round on the end, and swapped to the oval, both magnaflow. i MUCH prefer the oval.

btw, ive had my magnaflow presilencer with magnaflow oval on the end for 2+ years now, with NO issues, so durability isnt a factor. if you have a header, i feel you will be thoroughly pleased with the tone.
