opnions needed please

well guys, looks like i might be able to have the car (finally!) running by the end of the year. But, before it starts running, it still needs a few things done to it, and i was wondering from everyone what route i should take (keep in mind i have to pass emissions still)

option 1: finish the fuel injection on the 13b and finally be done, this will cost me 1200 (due to labor, and i can't do it cause i suck at electrical), the guy has the part so that wouldn't be a problem and it is my project goal. It is however a little more that i would like to pay if i can help it so thats why im concidering the other 2 options

option 2: get a carb, and see if just having a filter on top of the smog pump will be enough to pass emissions, i would need to try to find the part and have them installed, so part+ about 300 for labor i was quoted. If it doesn't pass i would have to try to find someone to get me a emission sticker

option 3: reinstall the 12a, this would be either i do it myself or pay about 900 to get done (have a engine at home thats "supposedly" rebuilt, haven't had a chance to check). i really don't want to do this and want to try to stick with the 13b, but if i have to i guess i would be willing just to keep the -se suspension

just was wondering what everyone thinks and why, TIA

I don't know what your financial status is right now, but if you have the money just do the fuel injection. If it is your project goal you should just do it and do it right so you don't have to pay for that and something else somewhere down the line. I would definately do that before paying almost as much to put the other engine back in. That seems crazy. Good luck with what ever you choose.

i hear ya on the doing it right the first time around that is why it is so much because the guy makes sure he does it right. about the financial status, it would suck, i would have to pick up some extra shifts for my job, but i think i could manage, would just have to decide what would have to be done now and what can wait. Also, which would have the more possiblites down the line? i know the fuel injection i can get the s4 intake manifold and a aftermarket ecu, but i dont know so much with the carbs.
