One piece targa and cool rear end piece!

I recently got a 1 piece targa, it looks pretty sweet, much nicer than the 3 piece I sold. How much is one piece targa worth?

I also got a really nifty rear piece that goes between the two tail lights?

ANy ideas when these were made and how many? How much is something like these things worth? ANy ideas would be appreciated! Tanks!

Doesn't that cover your license plate up? It looks good, so does the targa, but what do you do with your plate? Or could you fit an '81-'85 bumper to it?

I'm not a big fan of those bands, on that yellow. maybe.
so i start thinking about targa's,,real targa's. wouldn't a 1st gen,from the factory with a real targa style top.be cool ?
i wonder if mazda ever thought about a targa top 1st gen. ? they made the bands i guess, so maybe. i'd own a targa top 7.kinda like a 914. remember those ?

No kidding... once all of us finish our cars, we should meet up. I can't wait to drive my freakin car!!!!

BUt yeah I got the stuff from a junkyard! The rear plate would replace the licence plate, I'll move the plate down to the bumper once I get the bumper put back on. That is if I end up using the plate.

The targa I don't really need nor want too much. I had a 3piece on there before, but I sold it!

How much should I ask for the one piece targa? I know these are more rare than the 3 piece

One said Targa7 which is aftermarket,

That 1 peice one looks home made as hell.

$25? $20? I'm a bit thrown off.... I don't think it's home made.... it's exaclty the same look as the last targa I had, actualy is better in construction. It's smaller and lighter for one thing.

When my bro gave it to me he put it on my car and I couldn't find it cause I was so used to my car having a targa band on it! The last band I had was a mazda one btw.

Sell my whale tale? I don't think I ever offered for sale! I like the wing.

And I should take pics of the car but it's not even put together yet... At least she's sporting the fiberglass dashboard! Need a fiber hood I think!

Nailed it on the head...they were made for the FB rear end where the license plate is below the bumper panel...How about $30 shipped, since you can't use it?...

Who said I can't use it? As you can see I have no bumper as of this moment

Besides I want it more than $30

no. they actually where made for the sa's.. normally they have a piece that goes above that fills in the rest of the back, but most cut that off and just bondo in above the finishing piece.. what you have to do is make a bracket to mount the license plate below the bumper (a metal plate with a couple holes.. should take less than five minutes).. i had one of those on my old '80.. still have the plate, just not the '80.. (oh. and mine only says rx-7, not mazda)

I think that the 1 piece were the factory version and the 3 piece the aftermarket - but I could be mistaken.

My '83 had a targa and it was listed as an option on the original papar work that came with the car - it was the 3 pce set up. I've never seen a 1 pce before now and it does look home made. It doesn't have the fibreglas underlay that used to surround the vents and how exactly does it attach to the roof?? By the way, I like it regardless of OEM origin or not - how about $50 + shipping (if it has no creases - is that a crease I see in the middle of the roof - not sure from the pic)??

the 1 peice looks ok.. i like the smooth flow of the metal but the 3 peice looks a hell of a lot stronger with the nice black stuff on the back side to help suport it. id rather have a 3 peice

The center panel is for the '79 - '80s... I'll vouch for that, 'cause I just saw one tonight It looked pretty good. It was on a black '79 with fender flares of some sort, a nice looking exhaust, and newer, wider rims. I couldn't see much 'cause I just drove by, but the car looked clean

I stand corrected...I know Andrew has that set-up, also, but I thought it was on his '84...in fact, it's on his '80.....since I'll have to rework it for an '83, how about $20 shipped?
