OMP Delete with Weber 40 DCOE on 12A

I recently acquired a sandrail with a Mazda 12a engine on it. This is my first rotary and I have to say, I LOVE it. Unfortunately, I have no idea what was done to this engine prior to getting it last month, but I was able to get it running and its an absolute beast. Now, onto my question, it appears that the previous owner tapped the intake and tied it into the OMP. However, the throttle connection to the OMP is gone and Im already running pre-mix so Im thinking about just doing an OMP delete. Thoughts? Will that work ok with the weber carb that I have? Also, please don't flame me for the yellow paint...that was ALSO done before I got this thing... pretty unfortunate.

Thanks!!

You could delete it. I'd just wire it full open and pre-mix and have the OMP also. Takes less pre-mix that way. Just test the OMP flow according the Factory Service Manual here.

Cool, thanks for the advice. I'll see if its even doing anything. If so I should probably put a looser ziptie on than what's there now to make sure its not cutting off any flow. Appreciate the help!
