Omp

When looking at the omp yesterday, I noticed that there was no oil traveling through the lines connected to the omp and injectors. Correct me if im wrong but shouldnt you see oil in those little clear 1/4 inch lines when the engines running!?!?

Yes, you should see at least some oil in the lines. I recommend that you go buy a rebuild kit ($20) from www.loweperformance.com and get that sucka fixed. Until then, premix 1oz of 2-stroke oil for every gallon of gas. Good luck!

i've always been told 1 oz of oil per gallon of gas is to rich course i don't wanna start up another premix tread so i think that mixture would be safe if the OMP isn't working right. you might get a little smoke and funny looks at the gas station but well worth keeping your engine runnig good!

Well luckily ive been premixing the entire time ive had the car except for the origional 1000 mile drive home, I HOPE that the omp failed after that. I hope too much damage wasnt done to the apex seals

I think 1 oz of mmo or other related 2stroke oil is perfect w/o an omp, any less than 1 oz and my engine starts sounding really metallic, with 1oz its this smooth whiny hum hehe it doesnt backfire as much either! which is a good thing ive got like 2 cracks in my muffler now
