Omfg It Finally Moves!!!!!!!!!!

To those who dont remember.............
I snagged a 13B for free, yep FREE! The dude told me that he sold it to someone who in turn took it to an unexperienced mechanic and had a tune uop done. Replaceing the old plugs with autolite plugs. Long story short the buyer clipped an Apex seal because of the dumbshit mechanic. The seller immediately feeling terrible for a transaction gone wrong refunds the money and takes the car back.

Enter the drozman 1 year later.
I spotted a rusted and cored out second gen (trying to score me a powersteering setup) tracked the dude down.

He tells me the story engine has been sitting there in his garage Fubarred beyond repair he says. As a fellow rotar head to another I respect his insight, and concoct my own story of how it all went down.

Needless to say, I tell him I wanted the housings which should be in pretty good shape for a project I have been working on. One FREE 13B my friend.......

I take it home and store it on my "TO DO Later" Bench, and Everyday I have been trying to get this beast to do a full revolution. To no avail of course. I wanted to see this damaged Apex Seal first Hand. If I Cant count all 3 apexes how do I know one is fubbed up?

Well Today after months of daily oiling and sea foam, and Wacking my rachet with a hammer.........
The damn thing finally busts loose............................................. .........................

Guess what? Every Apex seal is accounted for, and unscathed........WTF you must say? I have seen alot of rotaries before, but this one takes the cake. That was one carbon locked ****! Everytime I make it to the full revolution turn major, Im taliking massive amounts of Oil, Carbon, and god knows what else come flying out of the exhaust! I got Compression on every single apex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just another case of "patience is a virtue" Man I am lucky as hell!!!!! I am on cloud 9 right now!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next task Fabricating a weber to fit my stock 13b manifold..........
Ill keep ya posted.............

nice. i had sold a car to my buddy and he didn't drive it for a long time. one day he went to move it and it wouldn't start. i thought maybe starter. so we drag it down the street with another car trying to push start it. the rwar tires just locked up. i gave him half what he payed me for the car (only cause it was my first 7 and i wanted it back) i pulled the starter and turned the flywheel with the tire iron. put the starter back in and it fired right up. i was so happy till i got hit by a drunk driver a couple weeks later.

Be careful......I was helping one of my buds with the same problem. After we "unlocked" the rotors we peered inside the exhaust ports and all the apex seals looked great. So we went ahead and listened for the woosh sounds and got good compression according to the sounds we heard. Finally we decided to install the motor and here it smoked like a motherf***er! So just because the thing breaks loose and makes the swoosh sounds really doesnt paint the whole picture. We ended up rebuilding the motor and also found a corner peice had broken off and became part of the housing. Thats why it was stuck to begin with. Good luck though!
