Question Old car smell

One of my cars sat for a long time before I bought it, and had a minor moisture leak, or something. In any case, the interior has a strong odor. I plan on removing/replacing all the carpets, and the seats. But the foam padding under the passenger compartment is in good shape, and I'd like to keep it.

What can I do to remove the odor without completely replacing the interior?

Sprinkle a box of Baking Soda on the carpets and let it sit for a while (Couple days perhaps) then vacuum out. Follow it up with Febreeze.
