well, got the new pump on today, had it backwards at first, then flipped it and it worked! yayy, BUT! now my car is flooded and shizzle. i used to have a fuel cut switch so i could stop the fuel but now i guess i cant. it's sitting with the plugs out for a little bit, then i'll try crankingit again. think this will work?

Try and start it with the pump off to drain the carb.

no, ofcourse i tried cranking it LOL. me not as of the dumbness you be thinkin. buy yea, i tried that. that's why i'm shocked. with the pump not on, it still wont drain the carb. anyways, i let the fuel out of the bowls to try and start over, well, it was SOOOOO CLOSE TO CRANKING but it didnt. i mean it was all bumpity bumpin like it JUST ABOUT TO KICK OVER, but never did. uggghhh, guess i'll pull the carb off and reset the floats. that has to be it??? :'( this is making me so god damn frustrated! AHHHHHHH. sorry

this is going to be very vague and probably worthless btu its worht a shot sumoen else will knwo what im talking about and be able to explain it better for you, but i know there is a wire (black and white) off the carb i think its by the floats but if it is not plugged in it can cause flooding issues and what not.

The floats tend to stick if the carbs been sitting. Usually a whack with a mallet right above the needle valves (the 2 hex fuel inlets) makes them free up. DOnt wail on it or you might break something, just a tap with even a hammer is enough.

OH MY ******* GAWD! i reset the floats, maybe i did them off a bit??? i dunno. 51mm and 16mm give or take a couple. shouldnt that sit them in the middle? IT STILL WONT CRANK OVER! it feels like it might just need a push start or something. it's right on the verge of starting. AHHHH! any ideas?

Should be set so the fuel level is in the middle of the windows with the car on level ground.
