You can do a couple of things:

1. Recondition the MOP and lines. Theres gaskest and rebuild kits out there at Mazdatrix or Racing Beat.

2. Block off the MOP using a block off plate, same sources. Then premix oil whenever
you fill up with gas.

3. Use chainsaw fule line to replace the old lines. You can find it at Home Depot
or Lowes. Cut your own gasket for the MOP.

Just depends how much money you want to spend really.

Bob,

You have two options. You can either keep the oil metering pump or get rid of it and use mixed fuel. Here is how I would proceed for each option.

1) If you want to keep the oil metering pump I would rebuild it, and use a fresh gasket where it mounts to the engine. Also check the clear plastic lines for cracks or damage. They get old and brittle and crack easily. That should take care of any potential oil metering leaks.

2) My favorite option is to block off the oil metering pump with a steel plate and use premixed fuel. This will eliminate the leaky oil metering pump and lines. It will also reduce the carbon buildup that is associated with burning a crankcase oil in your engine. Mazdatrix.com carries the blockoff plate you will need. It is part number 10-6020-3997. Put a fresh gasket behind that blockoff plate when you install it. Remove the oil metering pump and lines, and throw them in the trash. Get two small vacuum caps at Autozone. Cap the nipples on the carburetor where the oil lines used to connect. They are on the driver side, the little gold colored guys about halfway up the carb. Get a good quality 2-cycle oil to mix with your fuel. You need to add 1 ounce of oil for each gallon of fuel from now on. I like to keep a bottle of 2 stroke in my storage bin for fillups.

most likely it is the oil metering pump leaking out of the shaft. there is an O-ring that goes bad, its very easy to pull it off and rebuild it
